Xaptec multisensor components

Multikameracontroller

Pixel-synchronous multi-camera controller

Operating modes:

  • Autonomous
  • Via PC (Windows 11/Linux)
  • Via PLC

Xaptec multi-camera controllers control multiple Xaptec cameras simultaneously and ensure seamless quality control in real time. All connected cameras operate in pixel synchronization. Multiple controllers can operate up to 128 cameras synchronously.

Industrial I/O data interfaces

Raw image data via

  • GeniCAM standard
  • GigE

I/O result data via

  • EtherCat
  • Modbus
  • OPC-UA

Customized miniature cameras

Xaptec cameras operate in different spectral ranges:

  • Light
  • Infrared (IR)
  • Long-wave IR (LWIR)

Lighting accessories:

  • LED ring light
  • Line laser module

Mechanical accessories:

  • Flange adapter
  • Tripod mount

Multi-camera systems are now state of the art in passenger cars.
Thanks to multiple cameras, drivers or driver assistance systems can react quickly in critical situations and always maintain an overview of the situation.

The same is possible and useful in a production line! Blockages and collisions at important units can be detected at an early stage.
With inline miniature cameras from Xaptec, which
• require little installation space
• are robust
• are inexpensive
• are available for a long time...

 as in the automotive industry

A Xaptec multisensor system consists of

  • XE sensor controller
  • Miniature cameras (example above)
  • Thermal imaging sensors (optional)
  • TOF sensors
  • Profile sensors

Power supply and image signal transmission are provided via a single coaxial cable up to 10 meters in length.

Image data is evaluated in the XE controller and transmitted to a PLC or evaluated by a standard PC.

The XE multi-camera controller is operated exclusively with Xaptec sensors. A wide range of accessories and application-specific housing designs and lenses are available. Sensor variants:

  • CMOS camera (1080 x 1920 pixels)
  • TOF (Time of flight)
  • LWIR (Long Wave IR)
  • Triangulation sensor
